From a photo I took of woodland in the grounds of Moore Abbey at Monasterevin, Co.Kildare.
I first created an impasto by applying a heavy structure gel with a palette knife, then painted over the top using bristle and sable brushes.
The resulting painting is therefore very heavily textured - the paint protrudes out of the canvas.
