The original photograph (by an unknown photographer) was black-and white. See right. This painting was my entry to the Irish Art Awards 2008 - an online art competition which aimed to 'recognise and reward the best of Irish art'. There were 276 entries. When the company running the competition wound up in June 08, this painting had nearly twice the number of votes required to reach the shortlist.... |
