How to commission a painting
The process is very simple.
If you tell me what you want (and if your budget agrees), you'll get it.

If you already have a photo/photos that you would like turned into a painting, please email or post
them to me.  My contact details and address are at the bottom of this page.

If you have a description of what you'd like, but you have no photos, I can either take the photos
myself, research them off the internet or use my imagination, as appropriate for your subject.

You will need to tell me what size of painting you require, and what your budget is.  You can put this
in your mail, or call me to discuss.  Whatever suits you.

You may also want to consider the following:

Would you prefer your painting to be on a box-frame canvas, or on a media that does require
framing (such as board or paper).

If you are looking for a portrait, do you want a detailed background, or a a plain one?

Are there any items you want taken out of the picture, or anything you want added to it?

Would you like a particular mood or a colour theme to suit your room?

Do you need the painting to be finished in time for a specific date?

And of course, if the photographs are not in colour but you require a colour painting, you'll need to
give me some information about colouring.

Two final points:

For portraits its always nice if I know the person's name.  A little about their character can also help,
as I can reflect this in the mood I create in the painting.  The same applies to landscapes, its nice to
know where they are.

A point-and-shoot flash photo tends to give little modelling of the form and fine colour/tones of the
subject.  If you require a painting from a photo like this, you'll usually get better results if you can
also provide a photo taken in natural or directional light.
