A view from my home in Castlerheban, Co.Kildare.
I intend to do more work on the sky before I call this painting finished.
I first created an impasto by applying a heavy structure gel with a palette knife, then painted over the top using bristle and sable brushes.
The resulting painting is therefore very heavily textured - the paint protrudes out of the canvas.
