The starting point for this painting was a shot I took from my mobile phone at about 2am one September morning.  The view is looking down the
Carlow road from Emily Square.  I aimed to capture the quiet mood of the early hour, broken by the tension of the oncoming car.  As with all of
this style of work, I aim to leave enough to the imagination to keep the viewer's interest over many years.
